Proliteracy Online Tutoring Training

The Pro Literacy Education Network is a nationwide organization that supports literacy development. Our Adult Literacy Group is a paying member. This organization offers many resources to include training for Tutors.  If you would like to take one or more courses, simply create a teacher account, login, and check things out.

The ESL Tutor Training Online Workshop is one of their many resources. Your Board of Directors has thoroughly reviewed the Workshop and makes this recommendation: Modules 6 through11 you will find directly relevant to your tutoring practices and consistent with the initial training given you. Module 12 is an advanced teaching technique that you may wish to experiment with.

To access the Workshop modules, visit the Pro Literacy Website at https://www.proliteracy.org.  Simply create a teacher account and login.

As an organization affiliated with Proliteracy, PVLALG offers their tutors access to online training for adult literacy tutoring. Email azadultliteracy@gmail.com for more information about the access code for this online training.

PVLALG Materials Available to Check Out
PVLALG also has a library of textbooks, readers, and relevant literature for you and your student to use in your tutoring sessions. Email azadultliteracy@gmail.com for a list of these materials.
